Project Jericho’s After-School Arts Program is an in-depth arts program bringing arts experiences to Springfield City Middle School students one day a week for ninety minutes. This February students will be part of a new term that builds on the art form that students were exposed to in the first term. Roosevelt and Hayward Middle Schools are creating mosaic benches that will be permanently installed in the gardens of the new high school. Clark Middle School is exploring instrumental, choral, and dance ensemble performance. Schaefer Middle School is working on multi-media artwork that will compliment the work they have already completed for permanent installation in their middle school library. This program emphasizes a student’s ability to affect their community through the arts.

A public performance and display will be held to honor the student’s accomplishments on May 14, 2008 from 5:00-6:00 pm at the Clark State Performing Arts Center Turner Studio. Permanent art – permanent positives – if you’re in middle school, you can’t miss this opportunity! Call Kristi Limes at 937-964-9642 to sign up!
